The Big Show

Hello Friends

Yesterday we went to the Miniature Show. I had trouble sleeping Sunday evening because I was so excited! I think Miss Barb was a little excited too. I got up, got dressed, washed and put on my new sweater and hat. I was ready to go!! I think I startled Miss Barb though. She got up and mumbled something about the birds still sleeping and kindly asked me to take off my sweater and hat and try to go back to sleep or find a quiet activity. Hmmm, I suppose it might have been a wee bit early??? How's a person of the pegged variety supposed to sleep when they are very excited? I know I sure couldn't. So, I quietly went to the living room, chose a book to read and sat down in a big comfy chair and waited.....and waited....and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....

Before I knew it, everyone was waiting for me!! Oh dear. We were at last on the way. It didn't take too long to get there at all. I think Miss Barb forgot about us for awhile....we could only hear much chattering and ohhhhhhhh and ahhhhhhh. We could hear shuffling and paper rattling and......... Yay!! at last we were free!! Miss Barb showed us to a lot of people..explaining that I was a guest from the USA. Hitty Mabel Thompson, Bitty Maria and I were very overwhelmed with the amount of very nice possibilities! We sure did a lot of shopping but no photos at the show. Who had time? Miss Barb took photos of our treasures when we came home, which you will find here. The next few days we will relax at the Cabin.
**Warning** You may want to distract your Hitty Girls and Boys while looking at the photos ;)

Today we went shopping and I got a warm new sweater and toque. Pokey is very happy to have my old one :)

Tomorrow is a big day, Miss Barb says. We are going to a dollhouse and miniature show and sale. I do hope Hitty Lisa will be able to control her spending. I am so excited I am not sure if I will be able to sleep!

Until next time,

What a beautiful view from my host's backyard. It is Fall here now, and most leaves have fallen from the trees. Miss Barb tells me they had a very early Fall this year.

I was still able to find some Fall colour on the vines climbing up the side of the Cabin.

Hiding in the Huge pile of leaves was so much fun!!

I soon discovered that it can get VERY cold in Canada! Tiny balls of snow started falling and I took the opportunity to examine them up close. Thankfully it didn't snow for very long. Miss Barb told me that tomorrow we will go shopping for a warm sweater and a toque!

While enjoying the early evening watching Discovery channel, I received a grand invitation from Miss Barb's daughter to "chill" with her. Little did I know what surprises awaited me! I was whisked away and got to try on some new outfits!! I certainly looked more handsome than ever in my new digs!

The Bratz Gurlz sure thought so!

Some outfits definitely WERE NOT my style!!

I even got to meet some celebrities.

Brittany Spears-- She is much taller in person!

I escorted Miss Princess Anastasia and held the train of her stunning gown so it would not drag along the ground.

Angel Barbie was breath-taking! Celebrities abound!

Next I met Rapunzel! What an evening!

I even met a few non-humans. Cass--furry and white, who examined me VERY close!

Turkey Lurkey was on the run. He stopped long enough to offer me a ride. What fun!

The last celebrity I met for the evening was none other than Arthur himself! Quite charming for an aardvark.

After all the excitement, I returned to the cabin to find everyone fast asleep. I quietly climbed into my comfy bed and fell fast asleep.

Until next time,
JC

Boy, I sure am getting hungry! I am not sure how many days have passed since Ms. Linda put me on the Postal Bus in Flintstone, Maryland USA. Thanks goodness I have my compass, (I'll never get lost) and my new buddy, Pokey to keep me company. (Thank you Yabba-Dabba-Doo Hittys and Boys)

The ride was quite bumpy at times but not to worry. I was quite comfortable with my fuzzy blue blanket encased inside...um, uh...would you believe ... a KILLER WHALE!!!

OH!! We are on the move again! I hear much commotion going on outside the travel box I am in. DING DONG! DING DONG! Oh my goodness! Have you ever seen a grown HumanBean so excited? I thought Miss Barb was going to hug the delivery driver. Luckily the driver had been forewarned of my arrival and she too was quite excited that I had arrived safe and sound in Canada. I must go now as I hear much commotion and cheering outside my box. I think the Canadian Hittys are a tad excited, eh?

After unpqcking and greeting the Creekside Cabin Hittys, I met the only wooden boy, Marlon. He and I quickly became friends and chatted about many common adventures.

We joined the Girls for a wonderful dinner and much chatting.

Bitty Maria was so excited to finally meet Captain Jacques!

Soon we all realized we had been chatting for many hours and it was getting very late. We all said good night and settled in for the night.

Until next time,
JC

Breaking News...

This just in.....

Our contact in Canada has reported that Captain Jacques Cousteau has safely arrived at residence of The Creekside Cabin Girls. It has also been reported that Hitty Lisa is no longer pouting. Sounds of great joy and comraderie could be heard for miles away.

Full story and photos in tomorrow's edition....stay tuned

Where oh where is Jacques Cousteau?

The girls were quite upset that Jacques did not arrive in time for Halloween. Hitty Lisa consoled herself by an afternoon shopping trip!

A tabletop radio and a handmade gemstone tree were purchased.

Seeing as I still needed some money to purchase Halloween treats, I had to tell Lisa a firm "No more purchases today." As you might as well guess, Hittys do not take particularly well to being told "No". Lisa and I returned home.

After putting away our purchases, I could not find Lisa. I looked in the Creekside Cabinet House and there she was, sitting on her bed, cuddling her dolly, pouting.

"It's just not fair. No more shopping, no Jacques Cousteau." "It is very difficult being a person of the pegged variety!"

Giving Lisa a big hug, I explained that Jacques will be here very soon. Perhaps he had taken a side trip, or had a call to an important expedition. Satisfied with the explanation, Hitty Lisa decided she was going to sit on her bed, cuddle her dolly and wait for Jacques to arrive.
